- the Deputy Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Service

- the Deputy Manager is responsible for the oversight of all activities that relate to the care of the service users, their family members, and those who support them
- work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, its service users and to support staff in their role
- support the Manager to embed a positive workplace culture, build team cohesion and skills base to ensure the services are responsive to the needs of service users
- the Deputy Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with Light Care Services policies, and state and federal regulations
- maintain an effective relationship with the Manager, keeping them informed of any issues or concerns in relation to the Home/Service, team or service user
- support the Manager to ensure compliance with CQC and H&S regulations, environmental health standards and company policy ensuring the team is led by example; escalate issues to the Manager where appropriate 5
- the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of care and be able to lead the staff in a manner that promotes compliance with policies and procedures
- work effectively with the service users and their representatives to develop person centred care packages which reflect best practice and meet the needs and preferences of the service user
- comply with company policy regarding service user finances at all times; oversee compliance in the absence of the Manager
- work closely with the service user and their representative to evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan and make changes as required to ensure the needs of the service user are met
- champion the improvement of all care documentation and ensure high standards of record keeping, by being an exemplary role model, evidencing this through close monitoring and supervision of the team
- prepare and submit reports on performance as required by policy and state and federal regulations
- be fully aware of and implement the Adults at Risk Guidelines and adhere to the Safeguarding policy and reporting process at all times, escalating all concerns to the Manager and Governance Lead
