Responsibility

  • the Deputy Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Service
  • the Deputy Manager oversees the staff, provides leadership and training to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • this position requires a strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, cost control, and personnel management
  • provide effective leadership and mentoring to the care team, monitoring and ensuring the delivery of high standards of care to the service user
  • the Deputy Manager is responsible for the oversight of all activities that relate to the care of the service users, their family members, and those who support them
  • work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, its service users and to support staff in their role
  • support the Manager to embed a positive workplace culture, build team cohesion and skills base to ensure the services are responsive to the needs of service users
  • the Deputy Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with Light Care Services policies, and state and federal regulations

  • to ensure that all new referrals are responded to in a timely manner in line with contractual and organisational timescales
  • to deliver services that ensure the Organisation’s duty of care to the service user and staff providing the service
  • to identify recruitment needs and develop plans to ensure the service is appropriately resourced with capacity for growth
  • to ensure good and safe practice in all activities relating to service user care by putting systems in place to guide, monitor and evaluate care and services provided
  • to oversee the co-ordination of care workers across all areas
  • to identify marketing opportunities and develop a marketing plan
  • to arrange and attend regular service planning meetings with service delivery teams
  • to resolve all complaints in accordance with Light Care's Complaints & Compliments Policy

Requirements

  • mandatory training qualifications e.g. fire safety, first aid, food hygiene, manual handling, and Health and Safety awareness
