  • the Members’ Secretary is the designated press officer for the Members’
  • in addition to traditional secretarial skills for organisation and planning, the role requires that the Members’ Secretary be computer literate, familiar with the Intelligentgolf application and website
  • the Members’ Secretary has an overall responsibility each year to co-ordinate the future planning of a consolidated calendar of golfing and social events for the year ahead on behalf of the Members’
  • the Members’ Secretary is expected to attend all Members’ Committee meetings and take the appropriate minutes. These are then to be posted onto the members IG portal

Responsibility

  • provides a capital request for all necessary equipment and recommends facility renovation needs
  • responsible for cash and charge procedures, guest check analysis, tip reports, ticket controls and daily sales reports and analysis
  • approves the organisational chart, staffing and scheduling plans
  • helps plan and approves external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the department’s outlets and special club events
  • manages and coordinates the restaurant, functions, Halfway Hut and Pulse Café at the Club consulting with the Club Director/ General Manager, Head Chef and other departments with a view to ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service
  • working closely with Central support on menu items, pricing and menu designs for all outlets, special events and banquet events
  • addresses customer complaints and advises the Club Director/ General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken
  • leads in the recruitment, training and supervision of the entire team, and is responsible for their performance management using the appropriate appraisal system

lifeguard

Requirements

  • lifeguard experience desirable
