- daily documentation of the service users and/or ensuring documentation is complete by staff from previous shift
Requirements
- completing accurate and detailed daily documentation of care and support provided, e.g., activities, mood, significant events, behaviour incidents, etc
- working with the families of our service users, communicating regularly, and maintaining positive working relationships
- supporting service users to engage with activities of daily living , home activity planning, and community access
- working within the positive behaviour support framework and in accordance with agreed support plans and risk assessments to proactively prevent behaviour incidents, including use of de-escalation techniques to avoid behavioural crisis incidents
- use of autism-friendly approaches, including effective verbal communication, visual aids , intensive interaction, and integrating a sensory diet within a person’s daily life
