Responsibility

  • the main responsibilities of our Duty Managers are

swimming teacher

Responsibility

  • to deliver an excellent quality teaching service
  • to maintain the standards of the Swim School brand in accordance with the Swim School procedures
  • to organise plan, execute and evaluate a structured programme using the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway
  • to ensure that the Swim School records are updated appropriately with attendance and assessment data
  • to ensure all activities are FUN, and help promote a successful and caring image of the, Swim School and the Company
  • to support any other swimming related activity as deemed necessary to provide a quality development programme
  • to take opportunities to update and improve technical knowledge through continuing professional development and staff training
  • to identify suitable pupils for exit routes to performance and excellence pathways

fitness instructor

Responsibility

  • to work towards the LeisureSK strategies and frameworks for health and wellbeing, physical activity & sport
  • to offer ideas to sites and managers in relation to driving income and revenue via projects, programmes, events and initiatives
  • to develop a sound knowledge of the area of delivery and localities
  • to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of partners and individuals both within the business and external organisations
  • ensure attendance at relevant team meetings when required
  • to support and assist the local management teams by delivering specific sessions and programmes within our centres, making us a key hub for our local communities
  • to engage with a range of individuals, clubs and groups and offering them a fantastic service and experience so they will want to continue participation
  • to work towards specific aims, objectives and key performance indicators

receptionist

Responsibility

  • being warm and welcoming and promoting the best possible image of LeisureSK by the level of service you provide at reception
  • having good communication etiquette and answering various lines of enquiry such as email and phone
  • to actively sell a wide range of activities and products from annual fitness memberships to a pair of swimming goggles
  • to conduct all matters in line with LeisureSK policies and procedures and be fully acquainted with them
  • to ensure retail displays are fully stocked and appropriately merchandised
  • maintain the general appearance of the reception area, including tidiness and presentation of the reception desk itself
  • to carry out other tasks appropriate to the position of receptionists, as requested by a member of the management team

leisure centre manager

Responsibility

  • to ensure the facility is appropriately staffed to provide service excellence for the customer in accordance with the daily programme
  • to ensure all team members are aware of the daily plan and their involvement within it and consequently all objectives are met
  • to co-ordinate the timely setting up and setting down of equipment in order that activities run smoothly, and customers are not inconvenienced by poor time management
  • to circulate regularly amongst customers and team members to gain a better understanding of the needs of both through feedback and dialogue
  • to ensure lines of communication are fully used in order that the site operates to the highest standard. Helping to relieve pressure on the team by stepping in to different departments during busy periods
  • to organise team members rotas and team member cover ensuring that staffing levels match programme requirements and budgetary allowances. Reference must be paid to poolside staff and the rotation of their duties on and off poolside
  • to check and authorise weekly timesheets and / or additional hours sheets against the team rotas and signing in / out registers
  • to be responsible for team member recruitment, induction, training and development, appraisals and team member performance of those team members for whom there is direct line responsibility

manager

Responsibility

  • assist the General Manager and Retail Champion in making sure the retail displays are fully stocked, priced and look sales ready
  • to undertake any further duties as they relate to the post as requested by the General Manager
  • to observe the Company's Health & Safety Policies in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to take necessary action in any situation likely to cause accident / injury and / or to render the buildings, structures, plant or equipment unsafe
  • to assist the General Manager in programming of the dryside facilities
  • to maintain an efficient and effective centralised filing system including a confidential system for personnel records and information
  • responsible for development of all financial booking and administration procedures including banking and invoicing
  • to assist the General Manager in the recruitment and training of the reception staff, and to oversee the smooth running of reception, including conducting team appraisals
