Requirements
experience in large computerised payroll
knowledge of HMRC payroll filing requirements and pensions compliance
competent in payroll administration
excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver to deadlines
high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Responsibility
the day-to-day processing and tasks involved in running a complex payroll of approximately 700 team members, submission of payroll statutory returns and reconciliation; and
providing support with financial processing, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting, working closely with the rest of the Finance team and the wider organisation
supporting with the production and development of daily / weekly sales reporting
assist and support the Management Accountant & Finance Manager with any other tasks as requested to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance function
supporting the month-end close process, including processing of some journal entries such as accruals and prepayments
