- ensure efficient, effective communication between departments and reception and that effective handover between shifts takes place
- build a loyal customer base through the implementation of guest loyalty schemes

- ensure team are aware of hotel availability and use every opportunity to maximise room sales
- ensure accurate & informative daily shift briefings & handovers are carried out
- this Hampton by Hilton will be located is the largest development in Rochdale in recent times
- develop team to anticipate guests needs, be aware of all requests and carry these out in a courteous helpful manner
- carry out audit checks on guest profiles to ensure reception are maintaining up to date records
- ensure the reception team have full knowledge of the guest bedroom amenities and other services provided to the guest throughout the hotel
- ensure team comply with policies, processes and procedures as laid down by the Company Commitment to Quality All team members are expected to care for our customers in a friendly, helpful, efficient and professional manner at all times
- be fully conversant and able to operate the hotel front office system and train team to do same
- liase with housekeeping / F&B and issue reports on guests special requests
- ensure team are fully conversant with facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales

- carry out reception & duty manager shifts as required by business
- ensure all reception duties are carried out to a high standard in accordance with hotel and Company procedures

- inspect and maintain a clean and spotless front and back of house

- be fully conversant with and adhere to Hotel Fire Procedures, Health and Safety Policy and all other legal requirements
- ensure correct process and storage of floats and cash takings at reception
- manage department budget, ensuring revenues are achieved an operating costs are minimized
- complete any reasonable duties at the request of General Manager
- ensure security of any safety deposit, guest property and lost property in accordance with hotel procedures
- take part in any training and development activities as required
