Responsibility
- to read architect’s drawings and be able to set out and work to these drawings for foundation and construction works
- construct brick, block and stonework walls dependent on each job’s requirements
- follow building regulations requirements throughout the works and always carry out best practice methods
- the job will be working as part of a team that will be responsible for the construction of extensions and new builds from the ground / sub-structure works, including all drainage works, through to the wall plate level with all structural works required for each job also to be taken care of by the team
- to work under the direction of a site manager and take instruction from the site manager
- you will be responsible for the ordering of materials required for each job through your site manager to make sure items are on site and ready for you and the job is kept moving
- follow structural engineer’s reports and install structural steel as per the reports or prepare the openings for fabricators to install the steel work
Requirements
- you must be able to demonstrate your experience in successfully carrying out the duties outlined above in your previous work roles
- experienced brick layers are required who can demonstrate their skills in carrying out the tasks outlined and who can be left to work on their own initiative
- bricklaying: 5 years
- to be able to provide a high standard and quality of work, in keeping with the current standards that the company works to
