  • job Title : LandWorks Chef/Cook – Food Education and Cookery Trainer
  • location : LandWorks, Quarry Field, Dartington Hall Estate, Totnes, TQ9 6EA
  • oversee food provision at LandWorks and in particular the provision of a daily shared cooked lunch for trainees, volunteers, staff and invited guests
  • prepare a food plan for each week, taking into account dietary requirements, and making use of nutritious and affordable recipes that could be replicated by trainees outside of
  • employment Status : Part-time, permanent

Education

  • this important job role will oversee a new approach to delivering food education and cookery training at LandWorks
  • this is a part time role. 3 days/weeks
  • landWorks is an award-winning charity based in South Devon. We work with people in prison or at risk of going to prison to aid their resettlement into the community and employment
  • reporting to: LandWorks Project Director
  • you will ensure that all aspects of food provision and use of the kitchen at LandWorks is well managed, providing operational support for the day-to-day running of LandWorks, while working with LandWorks’ trainees to develop their skills and support their overall rehabilitation and resettlement

Requirements

  • excellent kitchen management knowledge and experience
  • excellent food education/cookery training knowledge and experience
  • experience of delivering training to disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals
  • A strong desire to want to make a positive impact to vulnerable adults
  • enthusiastic about food
  • ability to work flexibly, with a positive attitude towards problem solving in an often- challenging environment
