Education

  • experience/Skills – Past Inspection and/or Quality Control experience is advantageous. Operations within a manufacturing environment
  • contacts – uality Team members – Daily Production/shop floor – Daily All other departments – as required
  • leadership – Will not have direct reports but will be responsible for ensuring that they guide and direct other team members to achieve required quality standards. Ensuring Company Policy and Procedures are adhered to
  • this should be shared with other relevant individuals as identified
  • accountability – The position will be accountable for ensuring high quality product is shipped to Customers. High standards of housekeeping and visual management
  • complexity – This position will be governed by Company Procedures, Goals and Objectives related to Quality standards. The candidate should possess the ability to understand, review and improve processes as appropriate
  • confidentiality – This role does have access to sensitive and confidential information. Need to understand relevant information and to use discretion when passing on information received
  • meeting Deadlines/Pressure of Work – The position will require deadlines to be met consistently, by good pre-planning ample time should prevail, situations may arise which will increase the pressure

Responsibility

  • to conduct inspection according to inspection standards for customer compliance
  • to maintain accurate records of inspection results enabling accurate analysis of defects
  • to ensure inspection is conducted in a timely manner to ensure required throughput of parts
  • to carry out goods Inward Inspection checks when required
  • to ensure that all Quality, Environment, and Health and Safety legislation are adhered to
  • to ensure all department procedures are adhered to
  • to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness within the department & department owned areas
  • consistently identify opportunities for improvement within the department or with processes
