Requirements
- degree in chemistry or a chemistry-based subject
- educated to degree level qualification or a Diploma in Cosmetic science
- good understanding of analytical and wet chemistry techniques gained through practical experience
- experience in developing cosmetics and toiletry formulations from first principles through to scale-up and subsequent full scale manufacture
- practical experience of using HPLC, FTIR & UV/Vis spectrophotometer machines
- knowledge of UK cosmetic legislation and awareness of European and global market regulatory requirements
- formulation: 1 year
Responsibility
- liaise with raw material suppliers to maintain knowledge of trends, availability and functionality
- maintain accurate records / data
- assist in the control and maintenance of all laboratory raw material, bulk and finished goods standards in accordance with the relevant SOP or customer/regulatory requirement
- assist in the resolution of technical and quality issues
