Responsibility
- ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented in line with KYN’s exceptional standards
- ensuring mise-en-place is carried out in your allocated area of work to meet forecasted demands
- ensuring food items are stored correctly and in rotation to minimise wastage
- undertaking temperature checks on food to ensure statutory requirements are met and any variances are reported immediately
- ensuring the kitchen have adequate supplies of clean utensils, crockery, and other equipment
- you will have experience in a similar role working within a 4–5-star hospitality venue
- supporting the Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and the delivery of consistent, high quality, delicious and nutritious dishes for our residents and their families
- you will have strong communication skills and an eye for detail
