Responsibility

  • at Porritt House we provide private specialist living accommodation for the elderly supporting them to remain independent. We are looking for a cheerful, mature person with a caring nature to join our small housekeeping team
  • the housekeeping team are on duty from 8am - 9 pm so applicants would need to be able to fulfil variable shift patterns within these hours. Shifts can last from 5 to 10.5 hours depending on cover requirements
  • the full time position is 30 hours per week, extra shifts can be picked up as overtime. Weekend availability is necessary, weekend shifts are rotated between staff members on a four week basis
  • duties include but are not limited to, cleaning, light meal prep, serving meals, laundry services. A background in care, or the hospitality sector would be beneficial but not essential
