Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, gauges, or templates
- cut, shape, and join materials such as wood, laminates, and composite materials using hand and power tools
- fabricate and install solid surface materials such as Corian, Hi-Macs, and Avonite
- assemble prepared materials into finished products, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture
- sand and finish products to achieve a smooth surface and attractive appearance
- install finished products on site as required
- maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all relevant health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- experience working as a bench joiner, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
- strong technical skills, including the ability to read technical drawings and use hand and power tools effectively
- attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the project requirements
- good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes as required
