Responsibility

  • class 2 HGV tramper lorry driver based in Doncaster
  • we are a small family run company operating 6-10 lorries with good foundations and ambitions for future growth
  • we require a Class 2 lorry driver for General Haulage work Monday to Friday with 4 nights away
  • the job involves reduced rests and shifts that sometimes reach 14-15 hrs in length when required
  • occasionally there may be a roll back in on a Saturday morning, paid extra
  • \*\*\*The job is most likely until autumn time/Christmas, but as the company grows there may be the opportunity for the driver to stay with us permanently\*\*\
  • the weekly total time on duty is typically between 50 to 66 hours - all hours are paid with no deductions for tacho breaks

Requirements

  • valid driving licence cat. C , ideally held for min. 2 years
  • valid tacho card
  • punctuality and reliability are VERY important as often the jobs are time sensitive
  • valid Driver CPC
  • preferably clean licence, but no more than 6 penalty points
  • driving a HGV: 2 years
  • effective communication of any problems and delays with the office so that we can chase the customers up and keep them up to date
