• play an active role in transforming the business, finding new ways to create value for customers

• collaborate with clients, detailed engineering contactors and vendors, as well as colleagues in other engineering disciplines and the wider Koch businesses
• develop new technologies in preparation for commercial application
• the successful applicant will help KTS create long-term value for customers and society, pursue continuous innovation and expand the business into new areas
• develop License Project engineering design packages in a fast-paced environment as part of the multi-disciplinary team
• as a member of the team you would be part of Koch Industries Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the world with a presence in 60 countries and employing around 120,000 people, and have the opportunity to develop your career within an organisation which places a strong emphasis on personal development and learning
• be responsible for process deliverables eg PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, instrument/valve schedules, pressure relief datasheets, to meet project requirements
• improve established technologies by, for example, identifying and implementing modifications to improve environmental performance or reduce Capex/Opex
• the newest additions to our portfolio include extracting lithium from brine , supporting the growing need for energy storage, and advanced recycling of PET into raw materials for high-quality food-grade applications
• take ownership of process areas and technology basis of safety, including supporting safety reviews such as Inherent Safety/HAZOP/LOPA

Requirements

• university student looking to undertake this placement as part of the year in industry
• proven, technical knowledge of the operation of polyester plants

• proven expertise using process simulation software, such as HTRI, PEL and Aspen Plus
• willingness to travel for work assignments ~10% during the year
