Responsibility

  • we are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team
  • support the Registered Manager in overseeing the effective delivery of care, ensuring residents' Care and Support Plans are implemented and updated
  • in this role, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained
  • manage staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • your responsibilities will include both administrative tasks and direct care responsibilities, working alongside Care Workers on practical days
  • assist in training and development of Care Workers
  • carry out administrative duties including record-keeping, budget management, and compliance reporting
  • on practical days, provide hands-on care, working alongside Care Workers to ensure residents' needs are met

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • previous experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting
  • strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in administrative tasks and familiarity with compliance requirements
  • ability to balance administrative and practical responsibilities effectively
