- working knowledge of legislation and the Regulatory Framework underpinning practice in relation to care of people over 50 years old is essential
Responsibility
- line manage the Assistant Manager at one home and provide support for all clinical and staffing matters
- manage disciplinary incidents fairly and appropriately according to the company policies and procedures
- monitor budgets for all staffing, supplies, maintenance and activities
- assist with updating of policies and procedures when regulations change
- promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within both homes
- organising and motivating the carers, including agency staff, to ensure high standards of care are delivered
- maintain and monitor the health and safety, dignity and respect of residents and maintain relationships with residents’ families
- liaising with other healthcare professionals
