  • minimum 5 years management experience
  • experience in budgeting and recruitment essential
  • high professional standards and leadership essential
  • computer literate with strong admin skills
  • working knowledge of legislation and the Regulatory Framework underpinning practice in relation to care of people over 50 years old is essential

Responsibility

  • line manage the Assistant Manager at one home and provide support for all clinical and staffing matters
  • manage disciplinary incidents fairly and appropriately according to the company policies and procedures
  • monitor budgets for all staffing, supplies, maintenance and activities
  • assist with updating of policies and procedures when regulations change
  • promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within both homes
  • organising and motivating the carers, including agency staff, to ensure high standards of care are delivered
  • maintain and monitor the health and safety, dignity and respect of residents and maintain relationships with residents’ families
  • liaising with other healthcare professionals
