Responsibility
- to work with the Fire Lead to schedule testing in accordance with the agreed work order plan
- to undertake fire testing of products without supervision, once competent
- ensure test procedures are followed correctly to enable accreditation to be maintained
- to ensure that all tools and equipment used are maintained to a high standard
- to contribute towards the general operation and housekeeping of the laboratory facilities
- to ensure the quality and safety procedures are followed within the designated laboratory areas, to meet policy and legislative requirements
- to check the performance and calibration status of test equipment, liaising with the Fire Lead to ensure equipment in use meets the required specification
- participate in internal and external audits – implementing any corrective actions within the Fire and Chemistry Team
