Responsibility
- set out, level and survey several sites in a reasonable area
- check plans, drawings and specifications for accuracy of setting out
- ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
- form quality control documents to ensure the progress of the buildings are in line with clients and local authority expectations
- ability to extract information from CAD for setting out purposes and knowledge to produce basic drawings
- liaise with any site managers, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
- oversee health and safety matters on site
- prepare reports as required
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience within a similar role
- organisation skills and a methodical approach to work
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- accuracy and attention to detail
- negotiation skills
- strong teamworking skills
- excellent IT skills
- communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, such as construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, designers, other engineers
