Responsibility
general accounting administrative duties; including processing payments and invoices, maintenance of all accounting records and reconciliation of accounts
preparation of monthly and yearly accounts
implementing effective risk mitigation procedures; verifying accuracy of accounts, alerting management to any errors, executing remedial action plans
ensuring internal accounting processes are compliant with relevant regulations
managing budgets and undertaking forecasting
liaising with relevant external agencies, including auditors
preparing audit files
managing employee payroll and expenses
Requirements
accounting
minimum 2 years’ experience working in accounting/bookkeeping
bookkeeping
understanding of UK Tax law and compliance with other statutory regulations including PAYE
using Xero software
experience of using Xero payroll and accounting software
understanding of confidentiality, information-sharing, financial due diligence, and risk mitigation
able to successfully contribute to meetings, achievement of departmental goals and coordinate work with team members
