Responsibility
- care planning and other statutory administrative duties
- to be aware of the children's and young people's leisure and recreational needs and preferences within organisational policies and guidelines
- to communicate all concerns to the registered manager with regards to the children and young people's physical, psychological or emotional needs
- to be accountable for budgets allocated for specific purposes including distribution and recording whilst on shift
Requirements
- candidate must be able to work shifts including alternate weekends
- to work with integrity and honesty
- ability to drive is preferred but not necessary
- to maintain and maintain appropriate boundaries with the young people and colleagues
- to show tolerance, compassion, warmth and empathy towards the young people
- all staff working in a residential setting must possess NVQ3 / QCF level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards the Children's workforce development pathway. Full training is provided
- to provide a caring and supportive environment for children and young people who respect and affirm their racial, cultural and religious identities and lifestyles
- to ensure the rights and needs of children and young people are as fully as possible this includes their spiritual, intellectual cultural and social needs
