initially, this role will involve the setting up of the home and building a new team to run the service successfully. This includes promoting excellent standards to ensure the leadership of the home is in line with the regulations
we are a new home aiming to help and support vulnerable children throughout their journeys
the post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the Home for medium/long term planned placements, whilst ensuring the young people there feel supported and prepared to move onto independent living
to ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers is planned, provided and applied in accordance with the Home’s Procedures and Strategies
the post holder will be the ‘Registered Manager’ for the home as specified in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001 and required to fulfil the obligations set out in the National Minimum Standards for Children’s Homes 2002
the right candidate will have a good level of communication to establish strong, solid working relationships and have a good understanding of the role of Ofsted
it is important to have a good work ethic who can lead and inspire your own team, which, in turn, will help ensure that the children are treated with high levels of care and all seen as individuals
