quantity surveyor
Responsibility
- prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads
- monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to maintain budgetary compliance
- conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects from a financial perspective
- collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery of materials
- prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors
- maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects, including invoices and payments
- provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to management and stakeholders
- assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts during the project execution phase
Requirements
- proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the house building sector is preferred
- strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices
- excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
