Responsibility
- liaising with clients to assist with any requirements
- rota traffic team members’ working hours, paying particular attention when authorising holiday, to cover absences
- ensure Health & Safety and legal requirements are being followed
- manage and maintain O licence compliance of owned
- monitoring compliance with the requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods
- the successful Transport Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered to a high standard in accordance with customer requirements and company targets
- monitoring the progress of the daily operation, taking into account all the legal requirements and those of the customer, to achieve the most cost-effective route and utilisation of vehicles and staff
- procedural accuracy, training and full compliance of all transport operations
Requirements
- CPC – Transport Management Qualification
- proven experience of managing transport compliance
- proven experience of managing drivers
- experience in VOSA/DVLA compliance
- experience within a similar transport compliance manager position
- must have a ‘can do’ attitude
- presentable, polite and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
