Responsibility
- to manage drivers and contracts on a day to day basis, with input from the MD where required
- to plan all routes, jobs and working hours for a team of drivers
- to manage staff to ensure that the responsibilities of the Transport Manager are carried out efficiently and effectively
- to ensure that drivers are driving effectively, efficiently, legally and safely
- to check and collate tacho information ensuring all legal requirements are being adhered to
- be up to date in all transport legislation and procedures to ensure Company compliance
- to follow systems put in place to ensure safe and legal practice is being undertaken and the company remains fully compliant
- to be able to use a variety of software packages in order to complete the role effectively
