Responsibility
- perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trims
- ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process
- maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and equipment
- provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring client satisfaction
- communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences
- monitor the health of pets and report any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate staff
- assist with other tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the facility
Requirements
- previous experience in veterinary or animal care settings is preferred
- ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs, as needed
- excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow grooming instructions accurately
- patience and compassion when working with pets, especially those who may be anxious or fearful
- knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- certification from a reputable pet grooming school is a plus
