- understand, in detail, engineering drawings, materials and fabrication techniques
- generate detailed quotes from customer enquiries
- gather accurate first-hand information from customers and sites, as necessary
- conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times etc
- use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- create and submit estimate reports to company directors
- rate salary negotiable D.O.E
- provide consultation on planning
Education
- A-Level or equivalent
Requirements
- proven experience as estimator or similar position
- familiarity with financial and manufacturing principles
- in depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
- up to date maths and IT ability with an analytical mindset
- proficient in relevant software
- outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
- thoroughness and reliability
- excellent organizational skills
