Responsibility

  • we are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our property department in our Lancaster office on a permanent basis
  • this is a full-time position but we may consider part-time for the right candidate
  • the successful candidate will have at least 12 months’ experience in conveyancing either from a law firm or estate agency background
  • opening and closing case files
  • salary negotiable depending on experience
  • general administration duties, such as filing, organising, printing, and scanning including inputting data into the Firm’s case management system
  • audio typing and copy typing of letters and other documents
  • managing correspondence through face-to-face, email, letter and telephone

Requirements

  • 12 months’ experience working within the conveyancing process within in a law firm or estate agency
  • understanding of the conveyancing process
  • computer literacy and audio typing
  • good communication skills and telephone manner
  • personable, self-organised and motivated
  • secretarial experience in a law firm
  • experience of completing property related documents and applications
  • secretarial: 1 year
