Requirements

  • the management and day to day running of the Clubhouse and bar facilities, including cellar management and kitchen
  • manage all departmental resources and employees, including scheduling, training and development of staff
  • maximise sales potential through the marketing of food and beverage events, promotions and initiatives
  • keep abreast of trends and developments in the food & beverage industry, such as menu trends and consumer tastes
  • negotiating with suppliers and appropriate, cost-effective and efficient stock management
  • maintain the existing food and beverage programme of events and develop new concepts and strategies that ensure the highest possible level of service, that exceeds customer expectations, and encourages new and repeat business
  • responsible for controlling food and beverage labour costs in line with set targets by accurately forecasting staffing levels against the needs of the business, and to record wage costs and forecasting on a weekly basis
  • be aware of all current legislation, including health and safety, food safety and employment law

Responsibility

  • reporting to the General Manager, the Clubhouse Manager will be a key member of the management team, working closely with the Golf Operations Manager, the Course Manager and the Head PGA Professional to coordinate all clubhouse activities, to seek opportunities to continuously improve the Club’s hospitality offerings and ensuring customer service excellence is consistently delivered and revenue streams are maximised
  • conduct staff meetings and effectively communicate goals, events, and any changes to policy and/or procedure
