Requirements


  • relevant experience in a target driven environment
  • experience preferably in a sales/travel environment
  • excellent geographical knowledge and previous travel experience essential
  • the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • to have a professional manner
  • to have a passion for travel
  • to have a basic knowledge of standard PC systems
  • basic knowledge of ABTA/ATOL regulations
  • ability to speak Italian fluently essential
  • experience in travel or tourism essential
  • procurement experience advantageous
  • experience booking or sourcing trips for large groups advantageous
  • negotiation skills essential
  • demonstrable experience within Corporate Reservations, Group Bookings, Group Event Planning or selling Long Haul Package Holidays
  • good overall knowledge of the travel industry
  • A strong client focus with exceptional customer service skills
  • good organisational skills
  • an ability to work in a busy and demanding environment
  • minimum 1 year of experience in a Travel Agent or similar role
  • proficiency in using a GDS, especially Amadeus

Responsibility


  • dealing with enquiries and to sell holidays
  • turning enquiries into bookings
  • to offer suitable packages and ancillaries within the requirements
  • to maintain a high level of customer service at all times
  • to achieve monthly sales targets
  • to use personal travel experience and product knowledge to sell appropriate holidays
  • to follow up on all enquiries made
  • cross-selling to alternative holidays
  • book accommodation in line with business needs and group trip requirements
  • organise new contacts for accommodation, packages & ground elements for developing destinations
  • carry out on-site Health & Safety audits
  • traveling to new resorts & trade fairs with the aim of developing new products
  • building relationships with suppliers in relevant destinations so secure good terms and competitive rates
  • update all hotel and resort information available for the other teams in the business
  • create appropriate actions plans where applicable & monitor progress
  • crafting comprehensive luxury packages encompassing flights, hotels, transfers, and more
  • understanding and aligning with client preferences, interests, and budget constraints
  • negotiating preferential rates with airline and hotel providers via the GDS system
  • ensuring ATOL and IATA compliance within the company
  • identifying and curating packages to suit diverse client needs
