Responsibility

  • operate planning software to produce effective and efficient routes
  • daily planning and routing of vehicles in a compliant and cost-efficient manner. Adhere to MSC Intermodal departments planning timeframes

  • plan routes within legal limits and driver working time
  • respond and assist with customer queries / issues / requirements
  • maximise effectiveness of available vehicle and driver resource
  • interaction with Port systems and Destin8 to book vehicles on/off Ports. • Regular communication with the operators and drivers
  • review accuracy of incoming customer orders for logistical efficiency

Requirements

  • good geographical knowledge of mainland UK
  • experience of planning using automated routing TMS software such as Paragon, Optrak or similar
  • customer service experience / experience of meeting customer expectations
  • an understanding of Operator Licence obligations and regulations
  • experience of producing KPIs and reports on a regular basis
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong telephone manner
  • excellent numerical skills
  • excellent attention to detail
