Responsibility
- carry out excavation and ground preparation tasks for construction projects
- operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other groundwork elements
- maintain a clean and organised worksite, removing debris and ensuring materials are stored properly
- collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met
- follow instructions from site supervisors and contribute to team efforts in achieving project goals
Requirements
- previous experience in groundwork or a related field is advantageous but not essential
- strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites
- ability to operate basic construction machinery is preferred
- excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks
- strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills
