Responsibility

  • act as a guardian for the Jerry Green Dog Rescue Brand ensuring its appropriate use and consistency across materials
  • creatively design the bi-annual Happy Tails supporter newsletter
  • lead on the development of a design booking in process to ensure the facilitation of requests and good work flow management
  • review the current brand guidelines and make recommendations to improve and update them
  • support with the basic filming requirements of team members, primarily for social media reels
  • provide basic video editing support, primarily for reels and social media shorts
  • work with leads across the fundraising team to deliver suites of printed and digital campaign and event materials to support key Income Generation initiatives
  • lead on the generation of social media assets and graphics for all channels including the main Jerry Green Dog Rescue channels and any subsidiaries, currently retail

Requirements

  • educated to a degree level or equivalent in graphic design or qualification by extensive experience
  • experience working in an in-house design team in the charity sector
  • minimum of one-years’ experience working as a graphic designer
  • experience of designing for both digital and print
  • experience of filming social media shorts
  • basic knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premier Pro to enable the completion of basic video editing
  • ability to analyse suitability of design work and articulate design rationale effectively
  • ability to generate original, creative work within brand guidelines

shop manager

Responsibility

  • to undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required by Shop Manager, Business Manager or Senior Management Team
  • manage the donation station sorting and pricing, stock movement
  • to manage an assistant and to recruit, train and motivate a team of volunteers to assist in the running of the shop
  • to reconcile the takings on a daily basis, to bank all cash every other day where possible and to ensure strict security measures are implemented for unbanked cash at weekends and holiday periods

centre manager

Responsibility

  • boarding checks as per Boarding License
  • pregnant mother and puppy care
  • care for post op dogs
  • medication needs
  • to monitor the fabric and fittings of the building and ensure that housekeeping and buildings standards are to the required standard
  • any other duties commensurate with the post
  • as part of the service occupancy agreement
  • effectively and efficiently, support the Centre Manager to comply with the charities policies and procedures and all necessary Health & Safety regulations

Requirements

  • qualified to a National Diploma, NVQ2 or equivalent in animal care/welfare
  • ability to evidence ongoing CPD
  • full, manual driving licence
  • self-motivated – able to spot opportunities for service improvement, works flexibly, beyond contracted hours where necessary
  • experience of supervising, motivating and performance managing paid staff and/or volunteers including assessing workloads and delegating accordingly
  • able to ensure adherence to strict health and safety procedures by all staff and volunteers
  • makes clear and appropriate decisions in line with responsibility of role without the need to seek support
  • minimum of 1 year paid or voluntary experience of supervising or junior management role in a dog rescue environment or equivalent

supervisor

Requirements
