Responsibility
- safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
- load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- ensure compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
- perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and proper functioning
- communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
Requirements
- valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- ability to drive various types of trucks, such as flatbeds or vans
- strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks and address minor issues on the road
- excellent communication skills to interact with customers, warehouse personnel, and other drivers
- ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or other navigation systems
- physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo
- flexibility in working hours as some routes may require overnight stays or weekend shifts
