Responsibility

  • all of our settings are beautiful, with secure outside space and run a monthly programme of activities to provide holistic learning opportunities
  • james Place provides Day Care for adults, aged 16+, with a physical or learning disability who desire a safe place to be themselves once they leave full time education
  • PPE required onsite, PPE training for employed staff, Temperature Checks on Arrival, Daily LFT Testing

Requirements

  • experience maintaining a great working atmosphere in a small team and managing a team is also required
  • providing disability care: 5 years
  • we are seeking an individual with experience of managing a team, and a passion to work alongside adults with disabilities, supporting them in any way they need. First and foremost this is a hands on caring role, with management added
  • supervisory / management: 3 years
  • we require our Team Leader to act as a main point of contact for the parents or key workers of our members on a day-to-day basis
  • you will be required to help coordinate diaries, holidays and absences, but also get involved in running sessions, teaching skills and helping with all duties where needed…
  • from making crafts around our monthly themes when extra pairs of hands are needed, to looking after the stock levels and ensuring person centered planning is carried out on a monthly basis, this is an all-encompassing role
  • ideally you will have a caring, sensitive, and bubbly personality and be able to demonstrate a background of working with adults with disabilities
