Responsibility
- the successful candidate will be expected to complete in house training in addition to apprenticeship work
- they will have all relevant training needed to perform the tasks safely this will include forklift, cherry picker, grinding wheels etc
- the position may involve working out of hours if the task requires
- there will be competitive pay terms for the right person
- we are currently looking for apprentice maintenance fitter based at our Penistone headquarters the successful candidate will be supported throughout their training
- james Durrans is looking for a long-term candidate who is willing to grow within the company
- the candidate should be aware that they may be required to accompany one of our existing team to any of our other sites where travel and accommodation cost would be paid by the company
- the successful candidate should be aware that maintenance can be a dirty environment, but all safety equipment and showering facilities are supplied
Requirements
- A genuine interest in engineering and be able to demonstrate examples of fixing things through their hobbies
- GCSE Maths C or 4 or above on the Higher Maths Paper Only
- the candidate must be keen to work within a team, must be punctual, willing to work with their hands in a dirty environment. The candidate should be self-motivated, forward thinking and able to work within the team
