maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
assist chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking
help with the storage and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and minimise waste
keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues as necessary
support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as required
adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff
assist with stocktaking and inventory management when needed
Requirements
A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is essential
previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as restaurants or hotels, is advantageous but not mandatory
ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others
good organisational skills to manage tasks effectively within a busy kitchen setting
basic knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial
