- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication techniques
- ability to use various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials as required
