Responsibility
delivering on the requirements of each contract within budget, ensuring both Health & Safety and commercial commitments are honoured
overseeing the Accident, Incident & Near Misses procedure ensuring correct reporting and implementing plans for prevention of recurrence
manage and review the full aspects of JMAC Group accreditations
be the point of contact for all employees, stakeholders and clients for all health & safety related matters, attending client meetings as the representative for the business
leading on the development of HSEQ KPIs and managing the quality monitoring for weekly, monthly and yearly targeting, working directly with the Operations Team to come up with workable solutions & improvements
assessing risks and measuring severity for all aspects of scaffolding & safety operations and creating Safety Action Plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business Policies & Procedures
management of the Health & Safety team completing annual appraisals centred around providing and receiving feedback, career progression & training development
ensuring consistency across the entire company in the delivery of and compliance with HSEQ policies by sharing information, suggestions and observations with project leadership
Requirements
an industry recognised Health & Safety qualification
full Driving License
experience within the construction / scaffolding / industrial industry is essential
experience within the construction / scaffolding / industrial industry is preferred
extensive experience of building strong, cooperative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
demonstrable ability to create analytical reports and long-term action plans to meet goals and KPIs and deliver on them
have an outgoing, positive attitude with a collective responsibility approach to Health & Safety as opposed to ‘blame’ culture
commitment to creating and promoting a culture dedicated to wellbeing, career progression and opportunity
