Working hours

Responsibility

  • setting up of cost centres and branches on sales order processing system
  • creating new accounts
  • chasing payments throughout the month to ensure customer payment terms
  • processing specific customer invoices on purchasing card
  • manual input of supplier invoices
  • reconciliation of supplier accounts to monthly statements
  • resolution of supplier queries
  • collection and distribution of daily post

Requirements

  • maths GCSE Grade A – C or equivalent
  • previous experience working in a finance department supporting either sales or purchase ledger
  • fast and accurate inputting skills
  • diligent with attention to detail
  • able to develop inter-departmental relationships across accounts, purchasing and customer service
  • A methodical and organised approach
  • able to prioritise and deal with interruptions effectively
  • effective telephone manner
