- learn how to clean, prepare, sterilise, organise and set up dental equipment
- recording and filing information about patients
- preparing filling and other materials
- reception and clerical duties when required
- an apprentice will learn all that is required in house, on line and sometimes at college to gain the required qualifications

Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- valid certification or license as a Dental Nurse
- proven experience working as a Dental Nurse or Dental Assistant
- knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- proficiency in taking dental x-rays and maintaining radiographic equipment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
