Responsibility

  • lead the development of large-scale WordPress projects, from build through to deployment
  • manage a team of developers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality work and on-time delivery of projects
  • collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance
  • develop custom WordPress themes and plugins, and customise existing themes and plugins as needed
  • write clean, efficient, and well-documented and lightweight code
  • ensure code quality by conducting code reviews and implementing best practices
  • stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development
  • communicate project status, risks, and issues to project managers and clients

Requirements

  • strong technical skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • experience with WordPress development best practices, including Gutenberg, ACF, custom theme and plugin development, and site optimisation
  • experience with WordPress APIs and third-party integrations
  • knowledge of frontend development and web development best practices, including accessibility, SEO, and performance optimization
  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience managing and leading development teams
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
