- to ensure the smooth daily operation of the shop

- to maximise shop profitability
- to optimise sales of donated stock and maintain the appearance of the shop within organisational brand and identity guidelines
- to encourage donations of goods from the public
- run efficient and regular recycling and refuse systems to ensure efficient use of space in the shop
- to provide leadership and direction to a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring operational performance and high customer service standards
Education
- good general level of education, at least to GCSE standard or equivalent, including numeracy and literacy
Requirements
- comprehensive retail management experience, including knowledge of saleability and pricing of donated goods
- proven team management experience, including training, and development as well as motivating a team to achieve sales objectives
- knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and policies that apply to this role
- experience of cash handling and financial management procedures, including cash reconciliation, completion of sales records and financial controls
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- strong commercial acumen
- strong leadership and motivational skills as well as effective team working skills
- strong organisation and planning skills
