Requirements
- ideally you would have worked previously within an Engineering or manufacturing environment
- must have strong negotiation skills with the ability to gather and analyse cost data from multiple suppliers
- building and maintaining strong relationships with our supplier base is essential
- this post would suit someone who has worked in purchasing for several years, is confident in their abilities and would be happy working in a small team
- knowledge and understanding of MRPll or similar manufacturing systems
- must be very organised and have the ability to gather information from our MRPll manufacturing system, create schedules for material deliveries, planned purchase orders and create accurate forecasts for future materials requirements, whilst also maintaining stocks of low value high usage items
