Responsibility
- we are seeking an experienced Plastic CNC Machinist and Programmer to join our team
- program and operate CNC machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, to produce high-precision plastic parts
- the ideal candidate will be skilled in operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision plastic components
- interpret technical drawings and CAD models to develop machining strategies and ensure accurate production
- select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining various plastic materials, including acrylic, nylon, polycarbonate, PTFE, and more
- perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- collaborate with the design and engineering teams to refine product designs for manufacturability and efficiency
- conduct quality control checks using precision measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
Requirements
- familiarity with advanced CNC machining techniques such as 5-axis milling and laser cutting
- proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, preferably with a focus on plastic materials
- experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAD/CAM software
- knowledge of high-performance materials and engineering plastics
- strong understanding of plastic properties and machining techniques
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
