- develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Technical Unit funding streams and business development priorities

- contribute to GOAT/Unit work plan and delivery of specific projects, as assigned
- review and feedback all budgets, to ensure alignment with donor regulations, operational feasibility, internal structures
- drive the proposal timeline forward, including HQ approval processes and submission
- working with teams to develop and deliver BD training on TechEx-specific topics
- provide templates and guidance to program teams
- collaborating closely with GOAT and wider TechEx staff to identify gaps in training
- be responsible for the coordination with country programs and partners on documents needed

- guide supporting financial documentation for proposals in coordination with the HQ Finance Department, including annexes
- GPPS and IPP focal points
- bid Coordination: Serve as the bid lead for Technical Excellence opportunities and coordinate with the Awards Management Unit on opportunities with an AMU assigned bid lead
- support on KIIs with key staff on the gaps in the current handover process
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in relevant field, including international relations, political science, public administration, and communications
- highly collaborative and proactive colleague with a talent for delivering results with cross-functional groups
- experience developing proposals for USAID, FCDO, and other large scale funders

- strong knowledge of FCDO rules and regulations, including with both contracts and cooperative agreement mechanisms
- previous grants management experience preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage a variety of relationships in a multicultural environment

- 3+ years of progressive work experience connected to business development and working in or closely with Technical teams
