Responsibility

  • we’re searching for a positive, experienced, results driven, technology procurement professional to join our Group IT Procurement team
  • manage all aspects of the sourcing process for the suppliers, contracts and technology sub category areas you are responsible, ensuring the highest ethical and professional procurement standards are maintained
  • understand both the commercial and key contractual conditions of the contracts for which you are responsible, ensuring you manage all aspects of these contracts to appropriately maximise commercial benefits, contractual risk and ensure business colleagues are well informed to ensure good decisions are made
  • develop and maintain positive, professional and ethical working relationships with suppliers, challenging both suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovation and continuous improvement in all areas including cost reduction, spend/demand management, process efficiency, service quality, risk mitigation etc
  • develop and implement procurement category strategies for the supplier/contracts/ sub category areas you are responsible, ensuring Procurement are proactive not reactive in driving the procurement agenda forward and are partnering with the business to understand their strategy, ensuring category strategies compliment and support business strategy
  • ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with group policies and Group Procurement Standards, providing advice and support to procurement colleagues in other countries when necessary and requested helping to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and standard of procurement delivery across the group
  • support the financial budgeting and reforecasting process, providing accurate information on current contract/supplier costs, opportunities for cost optimisation and risks to improve the accuracy of the budgeting process
  • do you have a strong background in strategic technology sourcing with experience of leading procurement projects, managing contracts and supplier relationships? If so, we have a great opportunity for you

Requirements

  • degree or other similar level education
  • MCIPS preferred
  • procurement processes, standards and techniques
  • complex technology contract formation and management
  • basic accounting and tax knowledge
  • strong awareness and understanding of technology contract terms and conditions
  • strong awareness of the technology services industry and key sources of information in respect of industry trends and benchmarks
