communications manager
Responsibility
- working with researchers on the design and delivery of communications for specific projects – disseminating research insights in an accessible way
- horizon scanning and maintaining awareness of IVAR’s position in the wider ecosystem
- IVAR works with charities, foundations and public agencies to strengthen UK communities through action research
- leading IVAR’s communications planning and delivery – e.g. planning and delivering content across our channels; profiling voices; interpreting analytics to review our work; managing the communications budget
- we’re looking for a comms all-rounder – someone who is comfortable working in a small organisation – to work with our researchers to deliver and disseminate high-quality and engaging communications
- maintaining IVAR’s communications infrastructure – e.g. ensuring our platforms and contacts are up-to-date; supporting the team in building their communications skills; upholding our brand guidelines
- we champion the role and contribution of the voluntary sector, listen and learn with charities to understand what helps or hinders them and influence changes in practice within foundations and public agencies
