Responsibility
- to help maintain and verify banking account details held within the ERP system for vendors to ensure accuracy of payments
- prepare weekly payment runs and set up payments with relevant supporting documentation to allow timely payment of balances due
- duties will vary due to the nature of the environment
- to ensure the timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring they are coded accurately in accordance with established accounting systems and HMRC regulations around VAT and the Construction Industry Scheme
- to strengthen relationships with vendors by ensuring account statements are reconciled regularly and by resolving invoicing discrepancies either individually or identifying the individual within AAF Limited who can resolve the query
- review and maintain the AP ledger for old balances, negative balances, balances to be prepaid or anything that appears unusual and report to finance management
Requirements
- essential
- demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- health, safety and environmentally conscious
- previous experience within an accounting function
- flexible approach to working, ability to actively manage changing priorities
- comfortable working on a number of projects simultaneously
- an ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
