Responsibility

  • monitor and manage the response to alarms prioritizing severity and perform troubleshooting through to remediation or escalation
  • customer service levels should be met to ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • raise, update, and follow up trouble tickets
  • engage Senior Engineers, field services and third parties whenever necessary and coordinate spares replacement and evasive maneuvers
  • keep the management team up to date regarding critical faults and take part in Route Cause Analysis meetings
  • proactively analyse data from Network Monitoring Tools and determine best course of action to help prevent faults from happening
  • respect customer SLAs
  • to support in delivering world class NOCs into our customers by ensuring technical onboarding, maintaining of customer systems and ensuring connectivity into customer networks is delivered in an accurate and timely manner

Requirements

  • extensive NOC deployment experience in a telecoms environment
  • network knowledge at CCNA level
  • exposure to Network Monitoring Systems
  • ability to work under pressure and achieve tight SLAs
  • comprehensive understanding of firewalls configuration
  • attention to detail
  • DWDM experience
  • programming languages such as Python would be highly desirable
